Haven't watched it yet..  Pity Apple  didn't also make it an iTunes movie  rather than trying to grab more Apple +  subs.

It was in the “Top Pre-orders” part of iTunes for ages and I was looking forward to renting it. I can only assume Apple did a deal with the studio and bought the rights to it.

I wanted a new Apple TV4K anyway to get Atmos so having a free ATV+ sub for a year is a bonus. I have made a note in my diary to cancel next July before I have to start paying for it because at the moment it has very little of value for me besides Greyhound.

Even if Apple was to put up a couple of movies of this calibre a month it would make the sub worthwhile. If I had to choose between Disney+ and Apple+, the mouse gets it every time.

I have been waiting for this movie and am disappointed to see it’s not available on iTunes.

I am considering replacing the ATV4 I have in the Home Theatre with an ATV4K to get Atmos (still only a 1080p projector). I would get a 1 year AppleTV+ subscription according to the current promotion but that’s a push just to see one movie.

What I haven’t been able to ascertain is what AppleTV+ has in NZ. Is it like Disney+, where there is a catalogue of recent movies as well as some exclusive TV shows which the subscription covers? Certainly the TV shows on ATV+ look a bit meh. And I would have to justify it over and above Sky Movies.

If Apple could guarantee a steady stream (no pun intended) of new release movies then I would subscribe in a heartbeat even if I had to pay a rental on top.

AppleTV+ is fairly crap - it's mostly Apple exclusives so has a tiny and fairly mediocre catalogue. Apple is now buying third party releases to try and fill it up.

We've had it for a couple of months (new MacBook) and not found any reason to watch it. Greyhound will probably be the first reason.

Just finished the movie. Looked fantastic in Dolby Vision with Dolby Atmos soundtrack. The 1st proper movie on my OLED. Very happy

Watched it last night. Its set in the dreary atlantic so its quite dark. Loved it though...quite gripping with an awesome musical score that suits it well. Watched it in Dolby Vision via a surround setup. Excellent for both but I thought the Centre was a little quieter than usual at my normal listening levels but that was forgotten once the action started...and theres lots. Seemed a little short to be honest...a very quick 1.5hrs of viewing. Recommended.

Watched last night at a friend's place who has ATV, 4k, Atmos etc.

Underwhelming story, Hanks shouldn't give up acting for writing.

Thankfully clocked in at a whisker over 90min.

Looked good in the main, though some CGI looked poor.

Good sound for a streamed source.

6/10

Just finished watching it.

A bit of dramatic licence taken with some of the tactics, but on the whole an entertaining war movie.

The picture and sound quality were great with a pretty good Atmos mix. We watched in 1080p on a 100” screen and I didn’t think the CGI was too bad considering it was trying to render a frothing and turbulent Atlantic Ocean.

I do like watching movies in my own home.
