Just get a multimeter set to the ohms/resistance range, place each probe on the terminals of each individual speaker (one on +, one on -) & make sure it doesn't read zero ohms, or very close to that number, which would indicate a short.

Some resistance is expected due to the speaker coils. This could be close to the speaker impedance value of 2-8ish ohms as an example.

Thanks!

The speakers are all rated at 8 ohm, I'm getting 8.7 ohm from the surround ones and 7.7 ohm from each of the fronts. The cable adds another 2 ohm or so. This is what I'd expect, right?
