James Bond: http://www.engadget.com/2009/03/23/monster-hdmi-difference-scam-still-kickin-in-frys-electronic/

Anybody seen these displays at any Harvey Norman stores still? I know they used to have them a few years ago.

One thing I also noticed while in both Harvey Norman and Norman Ross a few weeks ago was that all the Monster HDMI cable speed stickers have been removed from all their TV's. Harvey Norman used to put small Monster stickers on the left hand top corner of every TV with a Monster HDMI cable speed rating.

Rather than having any technical basis for doing this (ie a full 1080p Blu Ray source needs greater bandwidth than a 576i DVD player) they simply put lower speed rated cables on smaller TV's and moved upwards with the highest speed rated cables reserved for 50" + TV's. It's just so damn dodgy..

I will happily buy stuff from them because if you know the right people you can get some very sharp prices however I do not every rely on their advice. I do my own research.
