I was down at JB again today and had a listen to the Wharfdale 9.6 vs the Jamos. The were both hooked up to a Yamaha two channel amp. I'm still a lot more impressed by the Jamos, and the guy helping me said he could sell me the 606 HCS 6 set for $1600. I'm thinking I could get him down to $1500, which is pretty affordable. Now I just need to see if my flatmates are agreeable. ;)
Just brought the Wharfedale 9.6, 9.1, 9cs and the Wharfedale Glass / Nickle Plated 9.1 stands today, all for $1397, RRP was $2896. Took a bit of ringing around, but good deal I reckon.
