sbiddle: No it's bit more complicated than that.
Microsoft did openly release the specs so people could build their own apps - that's why there are solutions such as BSE around already that work well. They still need an data source from somewhere however, and thaty's typically the XML sources from EIT data.

browned:My current pet hates with NZ EPG data are the "All New", "Final Season", "Movie" additions that seem to be making there way into the titles of programs. Some people are stupid but I would rather have basic titles and the detail in the description or the relevant XML/MXF column. Like I say Season 6 Episode 1 would do nicely.
