If you're still using XBMC, you should check out the newly released Plex Nine. I spent some time on the weekend getting my Harmony remote to work in Plex/XBMC using the default Mini IR port and getting all the buttons working. Got it working mint. Do check it out.

Could be lighting in the room, I know that mums sky hates the CFL lamps being on and the remotes sensitivity drops to what it is like with flat batteries in the remote.

that may be the case, a couple of MCE remotes didnt work on my ubuntu box in the room, but fine on another box in another room.

but all my other devices remotes work fine, just no computer one.

moving house in a couple of weeks so maybe it will just disappear....
