The LG LED's and LCD's look really nice to my eyes. Unlike the competing panels from Samsung and Sony, they're using IPS panels... the same as you'll find on Panasonic's apparently. Bonus! The things I like about the 2010 LG's are... The calibration options (ISFccc) especially the simple 'Picture Wizard'. Very easy to use and a great start in calibrating your set. The anti-glare panel, it does make a difference in brightly lit rooms. The 2 year factory warranty. A good remote and decent USB playback. I don't know anyone using one via DLNA, would be interested to hear feedback...
The negatives. The base looks plasticy and cheap. The brand name isn't quite 'there' yet. Most people who see your TV will ask "what does LG stand for?". The price, sometimes it's above the rest of the competition, other times it's not. Whereas the likes of Samsung will almost always be cheaper than the rest.

You're right. Actually I had two of them, both performed the same. I returned it because of the hum which is apparently common to some plasma screens, though not all.
Other than plasma TVs Samsung has been a good brand for me.
the wireless av link allows you to wirelessly send video to your tv. you need to buy the wireless av link box, and then you plug a adapter onto the back of your tv, and you plug your av equipment (hdmi etc) into the sender. the sender then just sends those signals to the tv. it wont allow you to wirelessly send video from a computer to your tv (unless that computer is plugged into the sender device.
its not as a cool as the computer to tv, but it allows you to mount your tv to a wall, just have the single power cable plugged into it and if you can get an electrician to put in a power socket behind the mounted tv, no wires would be visible.
i got an LG tv (plasma, didnt want to spend too much on a tv this year, since google tv and hopefully builtin pvr functionality would be more common next year) that does this, and will do this when i finally mount my tv. then i can have all my equipment lower in a unit and have no dangling wires.
