lchiu7: Maybe that's what killed my 576. The HDMI board has failed and is not repairable and would cost a fortune to replace. And now the PS is playing up with it occasionally going into an on/off cycle when powered off that can last a minute or two.
Time to replace it I think.
Jaxson: There's a link here somewhere man about the capacitors going on that hdmi board and this leading to connection problems. So yeah, I suspect that's what has done it. What I don't know is if the later models have improved in this aspect.
The Onkyo's offer the best bang for buck in my opinion. They offer more hdmi inputs for example than comparative units. Somewhere, somehow, there's probably a reason for that.
