Greetings

Vieracast updated to Vieraconnect this morning v 3.605 - this took a number of reboots (via wifi) to update but much more content including Facebook  / Shoutcast internet radio (10 NZ stations - interesting sort of!) and other stuff via Vieraconnect market. Much better thanks Panasonic.

I'm glad they made the update available, but I'm typing this using a Logitech K00 wifi keyboard with my HTPC (Arch linux & Google Chrome) hooked up to my P42V20. A 10m HDMI cable is only $50 from PC stores., a 15m on only $75.

No matter how good internet TV is, or how spiffing any TV firmware updates are, they are still a pale shadow of the utility and versatility (codecs etc) of simply hooking your PC up to the TV. Add in a PVR like MythTV, and it makes worrying about how good / bad official TV firmware updates are rather meaningless - IMHO, of course :)

In synopsis, hook your PC up to your Panny and have real internet TV free from limitations!
