Am I right in thinking that the 467 doesn't handle the single HDMI out for all inputs?  So if you have various inputs you need the same type of connection to the TV?

I'm pretty sure you can't, I got the 667 for this reason.  If you look at the connections section of the manual, it shows what outputs you need to connect the TV for certain inputs

it will PASS HDMI video signal to HDMI-out to TV.
it will NOT convert Composite/RCA/S-video signal to HDMI-out to TV.

(please check this with the shop as i don't want to be the DUH I TOLD YOU SO idiot at the end of the day ok)

overall what i was saying is DONT crank up this amp. if you notice the sound getting harsh it means it's running out of power and starting to clip. turning up more will damage (albeit cheap[-ish]) speaker

Your setup will be okay if you do this...

CD player -> RCA cable -> Amplifier
BluRay -> HDMI cable -> Amplifier
MySky -> HDMI cable -> Amplifier
TV -> Optical cable -> Amplifier
Amplifier -> HDMI cable -> TV

If you want to plug in something else like a Nintendo Wii, you'll need to do this...

Wii -> Composite cable (red/white/yellow) -> Amplifier -> Composite cable (yellow only) -> TV.

Make sure you don't crank the system too loud and everything should be okay.
BUT - if it was my money, I'd get a Yamaha 667, it's just a nicer amp to use, offers better sound, more flexibility down the line.
