Magu, if I'm not mistaken the samsungs have a blue only mode, you dont need the filters or THX glasses, you only need a reference image.

I tried looking for that, but couldn't find the option at all. Not sure how to get to a service menu, but in the standard menus there is no option.

Id advise those interested in a colour meter for themselves to go xrite brand over spyders. Spectracal did sell calibrated spyder(3)s, but they threw half of the stock they had out as being to far from reference and adjustment range. Xrite is more of the world colour management leader, they have been doing this for years and produce quality equipment for consumer markets.

Yes the free french software is good for what it is, I actually built some of their probes aswell, but there is(as always) caveats in what the software does and how it does it. I have had Spectracals calman professional software for a number of years, actually been one of the early beta testers. The current version can remote control top of the line Panasonic panels, VT30's, VX200 series, also control the above mentioned lumagen remotely. But thats pro gear for you, for the everyday user, even calman home is getting a bit much.
But these are just tools, the artist still needs to hold the brush and know how to use it.

I am not entirely happy with the direction that X-rite has taken by firmware locking the retail meters (new i1 and Colormunki) and then making the OEM meters not compatible with their own i1 profiling software. This effectively means that you cannot do HDTV calibration with the retail meter and you cannot calibrate PC monitors with the OEM meters (SpectraCAL are offering PC CAL but its an additional cost to what is already a potentially expensive bundle). I guess they want us all to buy two of their meters.... I would feel bitter to own a superior meter but be forced to rely on an inferior one to keep my other displays in shape.
However, I am enthusiastic about the new meter and its reported performance.

HFCR has no future. Development has been abandoned and it won't support the new meters coming out now and apparently the dev isn't going to be releasing the sourcecode.
There are only really two choices now, either SpectraCAL or Chromapure and neither are free. I think this will be great for someone like me who is graduating from the cheap+free meter and software combo, but it is going to be a harder sell for someone like the OP here who doesn't see the value in taking the next step up from blue filters.

Magu, ahhh it is a trick in this model you have a mode called" RGB only mode"

Here you select "Blue" and display the SMPTE pattern( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SMPTE_color_bars ) and set the drive of Colour so that blue equals white, then tint to balance the cyan and magenta swing.
