you guys have some really cool setups lol. Im nearly ready to show you my pics but my setup is not the latest and flashes but I will get there. It works thought and it looks awesome |HD.
Hi guys i manage to make a little youtube clip to show you my HTPC and my HDTV antenna I know is not the latest but I really like it. Post yours if you wanto.
here is the youtube link http://youtu.be/XQ49eVey5g8
Core i3-2100 with 8TB in it. Using integrated graphics via HDMI.
XBMC running on top of Arch Linux w/ GNOME Shell.
40" Sony Bravia 2x PS3 MySky HDi Big Honkin' Amp for parties (On the left)
Very happy with my setup, HTPC is hooked to TV via HDMI for movies/tv series and via audio jack to the party box for music. PS3s is because I live with my friend. There is another PS3 down the hall :p
Cloud spending continues to surge globally, but most organisations haven’t made the changes necessary to maximise the value and cost-efficiency benefits of their cloud investments. Download the whitepaper From Overspend to Advantage now.
I still haven't decided on a remote for it yet. Atm I just switch my wireless mouse/kb over. I want something that has a keyboard. I was looking at those ones that have a qwerty on one side and a remote on the other, but I don't want to spend ridiculous amounts on one.
Yeah, might just see what basic remote I can get and then just use my m/kb when I need to. Most things are done by SSH anyway, like torrents and updates.
I spent such a lot of effort on getting our media situation down to the single remote control and none of that switching to AV1 crap. Everything menu driven, watch a channel record the other channel. Volume controls the amp. Everything just sweet as.
Somehow I got a Nintendo Wii for my birthday. *sigh* 6 remote controls with cords everywhere and special steps to switching from HDMI to AV1. Even though some of the games are fun, I want to throw it away so much.
Skytv just for trackside... what about getting Freeview |HD and full control with your remote it is so easy to setup with WMC. After using HTPC I never looked back to the old setup.
Im gonna add a PS3 to my media center so I can play blu-ray movies...lol
I want to, not my house/account so in the end it stays. I don't pay for it so I'm all sweet. I do want to go to Freeview and record onto PC or a HDD recorder that's gathering dust at my parent's place.

Fair bit of that kit is quite old now, but is still working fine so no need to fix it if it aint broke. Swapping the OS & software to an SSD was a win though.
Will upgrade some more once I have bought a new TV.
