Saw this on trade me this is the exact same system as the one listed. Somehow this trade seem to have plugs with his

robjg63: I fact the first picture of the front may show us.
Does the that centre speaker on the top have a VGA plug? - sort of looks like one.

EDIT: (I am referring to the pictures on trademe)

I agree. The cables on top appear to have a DB9F plug branching to multiple cables. If the socket on the back says input then I'm guessing they are using that socket for multple inputs and not RS232. There sure doesn't appear to be any other input sockets. Rather an unusual use for a DB9 which is usually used for RS232 Serial.

Its NOT VGA but rather SERIAL. It will be of no real use to you so just ignore.

I'm guessing it is just coincidence that you can see the correct connector sitting behind the centre speaker in the TradeMe pics.
The system itself has 5 speaker inputs which accounts for all 5 speakers incl the centre.

This picture seems to suggest it connects to RCA style connections:

I think different companies use those sorts of plugs for different things. I was going to say a joystick.

I reckon if its possible to open the amp up and have a look - you might be able to see where the back of that DB9 connection goes to. With a bit of luck there are some wires going from the connectors on the DB9 connector to a circuit board - *maybe* it might have some writing on the circuit board saying what the signal is supposed to be.

Seen a few people with these boxes say they had quite good sound - a DB9 socket some cable and some RCA leads wouldnt cost a lot.....

I did find there is a 2496 audio cable - looks like this:
