Ok, despite the medicore reviews I went ahead and got one anyway.

It has no problem picking up the UHF analogue channels, but cant find any digital ones, which is weird since my PC-USB tuner will just about work with a coat hanger...or is there a setting in the TV I am missing?

Where are you located? I had no issues at all getting the digital cannels to work. Did you set it up for NZ?

If not, I remember somewhere in the settings you can get it to start again, and set it for NZ.

Other than that, I can't think of anything special except for maybe something related to your antenna set up maybe pointing at a site without Freeview etc..

Agreed - make sure you select the country as New Zealand in the tuning menu.
If you need to enter a pin, most manufacturers have a code of 0.0.0.0.
Give it a whirl.

Has anyone managed to record TV to a memory stick? I cant find a memory stick that will work.

I rang Samsung and they said you need one that supports simultaneous read/write to 10Mb/s I think it was - so I went straight past the Apacers and PB and got a Sandisk 101 8GB.

But it still wont record. Anyone had any better luck?

Cheers

I tried several memory sticks - they all failed the test!

So I just use an old 2.5" portable 160GB external HDD. Works fine, but only on the USB labeled "HDD" (Bottom one).

Unfortunately, the HDD gets formatted in some propriety format that is locked to the Samsung motherboard serial number - so tv programmes you record can't be played back on other devices, nor can you share your existing .AVI movies as windows doesn't recognise it!

I use a second HDD this time a separately powered 150GB 3.5" type in one of the other USB sockets, and put all my DIVX movies etc on that.
