Snap! :-)

My Xtreamer Ultra2 just keeps on doing great! (except the last Kodi version has a bug that discovers ".Appledouble" and doubles up all my TV episodes, kind of a limited scope bug, need a NAS share with all the media on it and an OS X machine accessing it, so not holding my breath they fix it urgently :-(

Though I think I will class it the Ultra2 as obsolete soon and get the Xtreamer Prodigy 4K, after all the Ultra2 can't play 4K can it ?  And I obviously should ensure I'm future proof!! ... oh and the TV needs to go to make room for that 70" UltraHD Sony I see in JB HiFi .... ;-)

Rhinosaur: I have a Raspberry Pi model B with Raspbmc running from an SD card.  It works fine, except that it won't fast-forward, or skip, or rewind - it just freezes if attempted.  I assumed this was a normal limitation of its processing power... but no-one else has mentioned it, so now I'm curious.  The media is stored on a USB harddrive attached directly.

There's something wrong with your setup if it won't do any of that. Mine will do FF RW +-30 sec skip & +- 10 min skip no problem. this works for locally attached or networked media.

I find the R.Pi just find for an XBMC/Kodi box. My PC is a lot more responsive in the user interface, but the R Pi is fine and once things start playing you can't tell the difference.
