I never use the internal tuner on my current TV but when I did I just used to press “1”. This would change to TV to internal tuner select channel 1. Have you tried that?

No, but I might give that a go.

It would be nice to do away with our DVR (we never record anything now anyway, so it doesn't need to be in the way).

I have an old Harmony One that I have kept because it does exactly what I want. I found when setting it up that the Logitech database is not always entirely correct for the different devices in it. Some commands simply don't work. For those I just created what I needed manually. TVs that use menus can be a pain, as you have to set up the Harmony to step through them. This caused me a lot  of grief. but eventually I got it to do what I wanted.

Yeah how do you get to the TV directly with the factory remote?

The lack of discrete input IR commands was the killer for automation.
Without these you are at the mercy of menu up down commands, and I never got those to work reliably.

With discrete input commands the harmony system is your best bet for wife acceptance factor points.

You have to build a script that works its way through the menus. Not as good as discrete commands but I got it to work okay on a couple of different TVs. It may take some patience.
