The slow fan speed on the power supply was one of the main reasons I got it. It is know to run the fan very slowley and therefore be a very quiet power supply. I only rely on it to call the tuners/sound card I rely on the case fans to keep the video card cool.
I had a piece of thin black plastic that came from a fan housing that fitted perfectly to block the CPU cooling hole but to be honest I have no idea where I got it from was just in amongst my PC bits and bobs.
If you are looking for fans maybe try http://www.silentpcreview.com/ They have not done a review on the fans I have but have a lot of other reviews.

That was my reason also for that power supply. I guess I was a bit surprised at just how slow and how quiet. Not necessarily a bad surprise. I was looking at the SilentPC a couple of days ago at their fan reviews. I kind of feel like I've spent enough on the build already so I'm interested in shortcuts not involving too much extra expense (having said that, I note that I already have ~200Gb of video, and that Western Digital have just released a 2TB version of their quiet green drive).
