Wow! Really surprised they let it go that far. Good on you for sticking to your guns! I suppose the consoles were a bit cheaper by 2009 too, although I gather you didn't take your refund a buy a new one?

most of theses cases seem to be two years, has anyone tried it with a 5 year old tv or appliance, would that age still be covered under the act

Thanks bazzer. Your right, I didn't buy a new PS3. When I orginal brought it is was for the most part as a blu-ray player so I brought the Panasonic BD60 at half the price to replace it.
