There is a softcam in the dreambox opensource settop box, apparantly someone has gotten it working in NZ from a forum, but we all know how reliable forums are ;) ;)

There may be hope for those with sky digital and their NDS encryption! Check the following thread from AVforums: http://www.avforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=319927
Sky UK use NDS and using a T.Rex/Drogon cam with the relevant progammer you can decrypt NDS. There's also a discussion on it over at the Aussie MCE forums: http://www.xpmediacentre.com.au/community/pay-tv-configuration-foxtel-optus-austar/8142-native-foxtel-digital-mce.html
I use MCE and would love to have sky running natively in MCE with the EPG etc etc. Anyone game enough (or have enough spare $$'s) to give it a go?
