I had a similar problem where SBS and Go, etc, became intermittant. And then I started to lose Freeview channels. Long story short, my D1 LNB had so much UV damage that the end cap had craved in. My finger went through the end cap on the D2 LNB. Both LNBs now replaced with Vesta brand ones for $18.50 each with 1 year warranty. :-)

And don't go down the card road here. They are not exactly... legal.
They are a card like sky card, that allow decryption of encoded channels from australia. Sold to Australian residents who subscribe to the service, and register their details to activate them.
Printertech: Those of you receiving SBS 1,2,3, is the signal permanently there? or do you only get it at night?
The short answer is "all the time".
The longer version is that the signals are not likely to be permanent, and as soon as SBS can find another way of beaming regional versions of their programming to Tasmania, they'll be gone.
Also, There are just two distinct programs available: SBS One, and SBS Two. SBS One is also available in HD. SBS3 and SBS4 are exactly the same as SBS One.

Thanks. I used to get them OK. I have checked the voltage at the LNB changes from 18v to 13v OK. All the freeview channels are good. I must have an LNB gone bad by the look of it. I have a double head Sky LNB.
I have an Echostar DSB-2110 2Ci Viacess STB that I have had since about 2002 and used successfully in Europe. It is working fine with my (now unsubscribed) SKY dish and I have a rough idea about setting it up for various TXPNDRs etc. I receive the SBS channels well but seem to have little luck with 9, Go and GEM. It may well be I need to replace my LNB (it is the dual head 10750 MHz L.O). How do I test the LNB if it shows good signal strength on other channels? Where would be the place to buy a new one from as well please? I am out east of Auckland.
