Make up a file with these parameters in. Dont use the GUI, just use Notepad

From the log you posted you were using an edited version of the GUI parameters. Delete them, they won't work.

OK nice one, also i've just noticed that here in the UK, EPG Collecter collects 7 days EPG for FREEVIEW, but on my other PC on windows 7 media center i don't use EPG Collector (i use the built in EPG from microsoft) and it produces 14 days.Just wondering why?

What do you get from an STB? There are no restrictions in the Collector, it just processes everything it gets.

About one of your previous posts. You reported only getting 12 hours of EPG from Sky one day. I've come across that on another occasion.

If it happens again could you mail me the log.

Microsoft supply the EPG in the UK, it is downloaded over the internet I believe, When you setup Media center it asks for your country and postcode and downloads the correct settings for the EPG.

In the UK broadcasters have realised that if you allow people to see what is on your channel/s then people will watch the programs they like (shot at NZ broadcasters).

 Hi guys - thanks for your work with EPG Collector. I am currently using EPG Collector for Freeview from the Te Aroha transmission, and DVBguide for the open TV EPG, and import using BSEPG.  Ideally I would like to use EPG Collector for both EPG's, but haven't been able to work out how. I'm also using DVBLink and a Jaycar reader, and I find that I have to stop the DVBLink Server service to free up the satellite tuner in order to use DVBGuide to get the opentv EPG. This quote from RustyGonad's HOW TO: Basic DVB-S Guide Scraping in Windows explains how I'm using DVBGuide.

"Hey nice guide but fwiw you can also use DVBGuide with DVBS with a bit of fudging the transponder freq.

It appears that DVBGuide uses a hardcoded lof of 9750MHz.  So if for example using the common sky lnb with 10750, take the difference (1000) and subtract from the transponder frequency, so if you want 12519 then command line will look like this:

DVBGuide.exe -as -c11519000 -ph -mQPSK -s22500000 -o sky.xml"

Is it possible to use EPGcollector in a similar way (maybe with a bit of frequency 'fudging') to get opentv EPG?

You can collect both Freeview and OpenTV in a single run.The ini file will look something like this.

Output:whatever
Location:NZL //Mandatory for OpenTV
Tuner:1,2 //Terrestrial and satellite tuners here
Satellite:1600
Dish:9750000,10750000,11700000
Frequency:12345678,8,MHEG5 //Put Te Aroha frequency here
Frequency:12519000,22500,3/4,H,OPENTV //This is the OpenTV frequency for NZ

You will need the latest version (2.0.16). Don't use the GUI to set up the parameters - it won't do it correctly yet.

You will still need to free up the sat tuner as tuners can't be shared. And the Collector needs actual tuners, not DVBLink virtual ones.

If the above doesn't work post the log - it should.

By the way I'm working on a DVBLink plugin which hopefully will run the Collector seamlessly from within TV Server.

Thanks for the quick response Steve - below is my log - I have only tried the opentv as that is what I'm having problems with. Here is my .ini:

The second run couldn't get a tuner so it must have been in use. The third run was with a DVBLink virtual tuner - the Collector can't use those because they are only designed to be used by TV Server.

The first run is the one that should have worked (it did when I just tried it here with the same parameters as you).

Are you sure the dish parameters are right for your set up?

Try Dish:9750000,11300000,11700000
