Yeah 4K doesn't interest me at the moment, not enough content to justify the price.

How much have you seen them for?

Is love to get a 75. 60 is too small unless you're sitting really close.

Yeah I have the 110" projector at present, but that has to go.

"Downgrading" to the Panasonic 65" ST50 in the back room, but it just seems too small.

Also, I hate the Noel Leeming website, has feck all of their catalog on there.

Can anyone shine a light on this LG model, looks a great deal but very little in the way of information on the web?

Why July, what's the reason for that out of interest?

Now that we're approaching July, why is this the month to wait for and when to go for the kill ;)

ahh just looking at historial data on pricespy. it seems the cheap times are july and circa boxing day / xmas. you can't look now unfortunately because the graph doesn't go far back and it's all new models.  I looked at all the sony / samsung tvs around dec/jan last year.

Are these big screen OLED panels or just LCD? OLED might be a good reason to upgrade despite minimal 4k content.

LCD. The only OLED screen available is from LG and it's only 55"

Talkiet: My advice...

Not yet.

Not if you can avoid it... Just a few more months might help understanding the market for HDMI2.0 and seeing where that appears.

There is a horrible HDMI 1.4a hack at the moment that does 60FHz but uses a terrible colour encoding system (nearly unusable as a computer monitor), or only 30Hz for good modes.

If you don't need a TV now, I'd wait 6 more months.

Cheers - N

Any updates on 4K TVs?  Just curious, my plasma will be fine for another two to three years.
