I believe that the disc that comes with Hauppauge cards does not include the H.264 codec. Although i have heard that there is a H.264 edition driver disc that will be shipped with the cards in the near future.

From what I've read tonight, even if it is so, unless you have a high spec'ed CPU you'll struggle as the PowerCinema app does not have hardware encoding. Best solution is to download a PowerDVD trial version 7 or 8.
[speaking very softly] if you aren't using the PowerDVD player aspect of the software, then you can continus to use the codecs after the trial ends; or so I was told [/speaking normally]

Yes, it really will save you a lot of trouble in the long run.
The guys here helped me out with the same issues when I was setting up a couple of months back. Just Google cyberlink powerdvd trial & you will find some options.

Arcsoft also do a very good codec that supports h/w acceleration as part of the TotalMedia Theatre package. It too is offered on trial for 15days, but the codec still seems to work afterwoods. Its cost is similar too PowerDVD and interfaces with Media Centre really well.
Just another option and we all know its good to have options :)
