The samsung plasmas will have issues, just not the same ones, no tv is ever perfect. Last year apparently all the samsungs made a very loud buzzing noise. So far this year, I don't think the samsung lineup has any major problems but the picture quality is not quite as good as panasonic's plasmas but then panasonic may have the rising black issue again.

I am quite keen to get the 46" Panasonic V20, even if it isnt Made in Japan, however since the jury on the rising blacks is still out on the revised V20 models (and panasonics response to customers who are stuck with it) is just making me ever so hesitant.
It was funny though, Harvey Norman had these huge "MADE IN JAPAN" stickers on any Panny panels in the shop that were indeed made in japan. I guess customers have been bringing that up.
At this rate I might even grab a Samsung LCD S6 46" and see what happens in 2011. That said the Sammy 50" S6 Plasma is only $200 than that LCD for the deal I can get... even with this 600hz subfield not being full 1080p unlike Panasonic but that could be the A or B series or simply BS.
...or probably end up saving enough to grab a frikkin Pioneer Kuros from Paul Money for $5500
... unless they TOO like every other plasma I've looked at has issues.
I think you guys have probably helped all you can. Obviously I'm extremely fussy/paranoid and will simply have to dive in at some point soon... my subHD xbox360 graphics are taunting me.
