Regs: Im running a HD screen and still have not up dated to full screen until I can afford a huge screen ahaha. but your setup is cool and specially like your case, where did you buy this case from and is it aluminium?
Xbox add-on is cool Im currently trying to make a choice if either go xbox or PS3 whats you opinion on that one?

Man, these setups are sweet. :)

I defnitely do not regret my PS3 purchase, but then I hate how I don't know anyone who has a working XBox360. Kinect is interesting if you feel like delving into those hacks people do.

Overall, both do the media streaming/internet so it's all about games; XBox has more online, but aren't very polite and PS3 doesn't require subscription money.

I feel a PS3 accommodates a home theatre set-up better than a Xbox. I have both, the PS3 gets used for PlayTV, Blu-ray, streaming and gaming when my Xbox TBH doesn't even really get used for gaming that much as 90% of their "exclusives" are on PC as well. Kinect is pretty cool though.

nice setups all around and I thought xbmc only did cinema not live hd freeview or topbox broadcasting or is that tv guide from internet tv?

when comes to software I do prefer MS Win7 Media Center as is plug and play and setup is a breeze also very easy to use. Trustme I tried others including Mythtv of course is my personal preference as all my PC games are in a separate HD in my media center I love my setup and specially after I install it a creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium combined with Cyberlink PowerDVD it enables the DTS & Dolby Digital Decoding (via Cyberlink PowerDVD) and when i open media center PoweDVD appeares on the menu list as the blueray player lol. The sound is awesome with this card.

pseudotv makes channels based on your xbmc library so the bigger your library the more like a real channel it is (I have just over 4 TB TV, 2 TB movies and 600GB Doco).

It is a useful addon when you can't choose what to watch or you want to find some thing new

You can get tv on XBMC through a MythTV add-on though.

I'm running XBMC Eden on my aTV2 with the Confluence skin. It's pretty snappy, most other skins I've tried are a bit unstable though.

I think the Myth addon is no longer supported, anyone interested in adding PVR functionality to a XBMC install is probably better off looking at the PVR fork. It has support for MP, Myth, TVheadend, and VDR.

i bought the case a few years ago from www.quietpc.co.nz .  Its a Zalman HD160. The older one was not as deep as the newer ones which made it about the only case that fitted my entertainment unit at the time. it was also the same size as my onkyo amp which was important. Computer Lounge also used to carry the zalman cases, and the origen AE cases (origen manufactured the zalman cases), but they dont seem to have them any more.  Having the built in VFD/Remote is good too as its not as ugly as a IR dongle. I dont use the VFD for anything really though.

i like the xbox 360 as:

1) i can use them as 7MCE media center extenders (i have another xbox in the bedroom)

2) they have Kinect which is awesome for the kids

3) i can control it with my windows phone
