MrAlan: Is the NZL MHEG5 EPG data supposed to be complete? I get all the shows fine but for some reason I do not get any Program Categories in my xml file.
cue1boy: Does the new version support freesat epg yet ?
SJB: OpenTV is ony transmitted on 12519H not 12394.
Change your parameters to that and to collection type OpenTV and try again.
If you want to use EIT it's a good idea to include the option EITDONEONCOUNT.
This allows for the possibility of EIT data missing, which it sometimes is.

Thanks Steve, Still no EIT, but Open TV is working great, the reason why I had that frequency was because it was the one I was using for EIT, didn't realise that OpenTV was on a different Transponder. OpenTV has EPG on that transponder for 3+1 and a few others that werent in the EIT transponder

That's strange. I just tried an EIT collection on 12394H and it worked fine. Did you include EITDONEONCOUNT?
I have seen a little OpenTV data on other frequencies but never bothered looking in to what it was. You seem to know more about it than I do!!

Thanks Steve,
EIT worked fine in the old version, but I have not had any success with the new one, I did try adding the EITDONEONCOUNT option to my ini file, but got the same result. When I mentioned 3+1, I meant the openTV has it, on 12519 but it is not available on 12394H using EIT, I was scanning one of the other transponders to get 3+1 data, now by using openTV I only need to scan a single transponder.
If I get a chance over the next couple of days, I might have another play with EIT, but it looks like I might be using OpenTv moving forward.
Thanks

CF: I've just upgraded from version 1.017 to version 2.017.1. Firstly I like to say that the new GUI is great. Everything appears to be working ok for me (Auckland Freeview DVB-T / MHEG5) except the series and episode numbers. In the earlier version I'd enabled Option CRID and that gave lines in the output file like this: 1008565 . 10177207 .
Mediaportal was able to read this and append it to recorded file names etc. I've tried all of the CRID type settings in the new version but none of them seem to give an output that MP picks up. Is there any possibility this feature or one compatible with MediaPortal could be added back?
Thanks
arnet: Steve,
Just tested the EIT collection again, traced the problem with the omission of option: in front of EITDONEONCOUNT.
Seemed to work ok, with the same overlaps etc I received on OpenTV.
Thanks
David
