problem virtually solved, with a lot of work I managed to get it working fine in Vista, everything works, ProgDVB, Vista MCE, EPGCollector.

In Win7 64bit I was able to get ProgDVB and EPGCollector working fine with it, which is handy as I can use it to gather to guide, my original intention of buying it. In win7 64bit WMC is just goes extremely slow to do anything, over an hour to scan the satellites.  It detects in there fine, acts as if it will work but is just very slow.

So if anyone else has one of these QQ-BOX tuners, I am now a wealth of knowledge on how to get them working :)

They're that cheap usb2 external tuner you see on ebay for AU $25 with free delivery, someone is also trying to make a buck by selling them on Tradme for $65.
