Stores are shut now, but the web site shows the G10Z for $3,999 with the words "Price shown includes discounts, associated offers and GST". Does that mean that they have already deducted 20%. If so, I wont be visiting.

As far as i can tell the premiere uses the old panel, not the same one as the g10 and v10.
Does this mean it's just a pimped out pz850?

bond and bond have been running the $3999 price for a few weeks, I rung them to check and they said 20% OFF $3999 - so in theory that'll be 3200. I'm waiting to see if thats correct when i'm physically in the shop tomorrow.

Thanks to acboy, I printed off his receipt and made my way to Bond & Bond, Albany
Best price was $3100 (with the 20% off sale).
Made my way to JB-Hi Fi, Albany and the price was $3000 (and they knew all about the 20% off Bond and Bond discount)
Finally at Harvey Norman (Wairau Road) they matched the $2980.

I would have gone with either Harvey Norman or JB-Hi Fi. There both very good and willing to talk.

The secret is an invoice.
Thank you acboy.
They will swear black and blue that you could not get a price as low as $2980. Once they see the invoice its a different story.
I hope someone can go lower. I tried my best.

oops forgot to say it was the G10 50"

Seriously, that's awesome man. You did a great job to get that price, even with the invoice! A G10 50" at that price is spectacular!

Oh, and if anyone wants a fantastic Panasonic Blu-Ray player, here's where to get it [free HDMI cable and all"]

It was delivered today and we had it installed in an hour, basically on my own (and taking great care). However, you do need someone to guide the TV onto the metal prongs which are attached to the stand.

All the salesmen said that the stand did not swivel, but it does.

A great deal and some panadollars, not bad. Hope the $P can buy or significantly subsidise something you want/need.

[Edit] alisam did they give you the TV for 2850? The recipt shows 2980, if you did then even better.

So sorry, it was $2980. I have edited my original post. Must have been the exitement or a wine or two.

Not sure what shortly means.

acboy: Here the inv. I managed to get a very small amount off for paying cash.

https://cdn.geekzone.co.nz/imagessubs/blogdb6e2e026d629bc1215cdb8cfbb2077d.jpg

Just like to give a big thanks to acboy for putting up this invoice.
I presented it to the HN store in Porirua on Saturday (19 Sep 09), and they matched the price - $2,980. I'm pretty sure that was below their current buy price - so am very happy to get it at that.
They were showing the G10 in store woth a "sale price" sticker of $3,999.
Prior to that I had got a price of $3,299 from JB Hi-Fi, which HN in Porirua had said (over the phone) they would match. I was amazed when I brought in acboy's receipt that they matched that immediately. No questions asked.

The TV get's delivered next Saturday. Very keen to get it in and running.

I also bought a Panasonic blu-ray player - the DMP-BD80 for $605. Probably not such a sharp deal, but still pretty good.

kind regards Andrew TD
