Just thought I'd say hello and introduce myself.

I've just arrived into New Zealand from Scotland and am slowly getting to terms with the internet infrastructure over here (or lack there of !!) and this looks like the place to be for up-to-date info.

Cheers for all of the info that has helped me already. Hopefully I can contribute something back over the coming weeks.

Welcome to New Zealand and to Geekzone. Hope you love both.

Also I see from your avatar you support the wrong team... they don't play rugby Tongue outwhich as you may well is the ONLY sport here

Welcome to Geekzone... And yes, there are some people here that prefer the Beautiful Sport instead of Rugby!

Welcome to Geekzone. SOME people around here appreciate real football.

The others prefer rugby.

Going completely off-topic (not a strange occurrance in our forums in any way), but "lack of skills"? Are you comparing football with rugby, which looks like a bunch of kids in the kindergarden running around bullying each other?

Nah. You are wrong there!

You are getting into dangerous territory here Mauricio... Tongue out

Best not to insult our national game.  It's akin to a religion in some parts Embarassed

Not to take anything away from soccer as we call it in NZ.  It has its adherents and good on them.

But to see the ABs cutting a swathe through those Yellow & Green jerseys as they make an 80 metre dash for the tryline is something to feel proud of.

Enjoy it while it lasts coz those Aussies will be back...

Hi and welcome to NZ & Geekzone

Football (I think Soccer was renamed to Football in NZ just recently, I m sure I saw it on the News?? Something about keeping it in line with other countries) is the real sport, more skill and strategy involved than Rugby.

Hope you find what you want from this site, I have definitely found a lot of info and help on this site, aimed at New Zealand (as well as other places....) products and devices, saved me from having to visit USA sites that talk about different ROM versions & systems etc...

Cheers
