Hi all, I've been signed up here for a wee while now Embarassed

Just realised I probably only said hi on the tail end of someone else's introduction...

I'm jevvv, full time mother, part time student at home, doing  r e a l y   b a s i c    computer course so I can say I have some sort of qualification, since I've been playing around on computers for the last 17 years Surprised Wow, I didn't realise it was that long!!!

My kiddos are now grown or nearly flown, and it's time to find some way of being involved in the "real world" apparently, which means getting a job I guess.

I have no apparent skills, except being sarcastic and teaching my kids how to cook.  I hacked about with a template to produce the website for our youth sail training trust a couple of years ago - that was fun, I hadn't done that before.  The template had all sorts of unnecessary extras I didn't want so I played with it.  Now it's time for me to learn a bit more and upgrade it I think... good excuse to stay home and muck about some more I think?

I like tinkering, and have passed that on to 18 year old son, who has done pre apprenticeship papers for Marine Electrical and is applying to do Level 2 of NC Electrical Engineering since (apparently) now isn't a good time to try and get an apprenticeship especially in marine trade.  I also love travelling, and have passed that on to 20 year old daughter, who  is completing Travel and Tourism course and works full time in a cafe, planning to be a travel agent (bring on the travel discounts!!!)

Other half is a builder and boat skipper, getting a wee bit of paid work and carrying on building our home in the gaps.

I think one of my skills is understanding why I react to stuff on a website, when usual end users haven't a clue, they just refuse to visit again... I can't see how I can turn this into a marketable skill, although I'm happy to be corrected!  Laughing

I love the community here, and how helpful everyone is most of the time, and thank you for being able to be part of it

<did I write enough yet?>

hehe - thank you Mauricio, I'm ashamed that I have a 3 year badge and only just introduced myself ;)

I would say "Welcome to the madhouse" but after 3 years you already know :-P

I'm a geek, a gamer, a dad, a Quic user, and an IT Professional. I have a full rack home lab, size 15 feet, an epic beard and Asperger's.
