Hi to forum members - there's a lawyer in the building! I have just joined u having recently returned from a long stint overseas working as broadly speaking a Technology, Media and Telecoms (TMT) lawyer. This has meant stops in Australia, Hong Kong, Dubai and Qatar along the way. I've worked in big law firms as a partner/Head of TMT Department as well as in-house with Vodafone and Dell Services.
I've picked up on a few earlier posts wondering if there are any friendly lawyers who actually understand what costs mean to tech companies, and who can be flexible in their work approach. I have started my own law firm, Tech Law NZ, with website being built; meantime I'll keep an eye on the site and am more than happy to have a chat, from a legal viewpoint, about anything technology related, or to do with privacy, data protection, information security, IT procurement, contracting, cloud, outsourcing IoT, and the like.
Good to be on board. I hope this isn't coming across as a too blatant pitch - I'm just happy to be on the site and open to giving help if I can.
