Well, I might as well join in as well...

I'm Brian, currently a student at Massey university (palmerston nth), studying information/computer science.

I used to work at my high school as a network administrator which included a windows 2000 deployment along with Active directory. I got interested in celluar technology a couple of years ago, along with wireless.

In the near future I would like to work in that industry, however it is unlikely given my age, experience (or lack of), and location.

Anyway - thats about it..... :(

Hey Cokemaster, really good. Don't worry about location - Palmerston North is close enough to Wellington and just a little bit from Auckland. New Zealand is a a good place to work in this area - there are quite a few companies working in mobile applications and this country is known for being a good testbed for these technologies. These companies (will) need marketing, planning, managers, etc.

I believe you know about grad programs in most IT companies around here. Try getting in one of these. It's a good start. More and more IT shops are getting grads - not only the big ones.

Remember that Tim Miles (he used to be at Unisys NZ before) moved from General Manager of Vodafone NZ to the same post with Vodafone UK, Vodafone's largest operation in the World. I think it's a cool example.
