Hi There,

I have recently moved to Whitby, Porirua from Brisbane Australia. I have moved here as I have gone into business with my brother who owns the Hutt Pet Centre. (huttpetcentre.co.nz). We will be opening a new store in Porirua shortly and rebranding all the stores 'The Pet Centre" (thepetcentre.co.nz).

I got into computing and all things gadget about 5 years ago. I was working in the call centre at wotif.com and they had an opening in their IT service desk. So I said I knew a little bit about computers and 10 months later I was rolling out MS Exchange 2007 to 130 staff.

I am really into Open Source and use Linux widely at home for my desktop and servers. However I have been exposed to and used all different sorts of software working at wotif.com and playing around at home. My most recent purchase was actually a 15" Mac Book pro last week. So I guess I use all sorts of software.

My other interests are cricket, golf, rugby and pretty much all sport. And yes I go for Australia all the way.... Aussie Aussie Aussie oi oi oi.

I look forward to chatting to you all and trying to help where I can with my experiences. Hopefully Geekzone will be as good a resource in my own research as was whirlpool.net.au was back home.

Feel free to say hi or to drop into one of our pet shops.

Cheers

Peter

Hi rscole86,

Our Porirua shop will be right beside Preston's Butcher behind the Pak 'n' Save.

Exact address is Lot 3, 16 Parumoana St, Porirua.

Should be opening sometime between the 22nd August and the 29th of August depending on fit out time etc.

Look forward to seeing you drop by if you in the area.

Thanks Ezzie.

The Cattery at our Lower Hutt store is amazing. It was built using world's best practise for animal boarding houses.

The new store at Porirua will be built to the same standards so hopefully you and the other customers will really be blown away.

Look forward to seeing you when you ever in the area.

Welcome to Geekezone. I'm not showing my girlfriend your store, or my potential next IT purchase turns into some fluffy kitten. :D
