For dosh, I breed kiwifruit for Plant & Food Research (formerly HortResearch) in the Bay of Plenty.

For fun, I'm into music (classic rock in particular), strategy gaming (fav = the Civ series, Total Annihilation/Sup Commander), cricket (spectator nowadays), volleyball, gardening and reading (sci fi/fantasy/crime/thriller). Two cats (Spaz & Toffee). Single white male. Age indeterminate.

Current fav 5 albums = The Angels - Dark Room, Nirvana - MTV Unplugged Live in NY, Beth Hart - Leave the Light on, Ted Hawkins - The Last Hundred Years, Bob Dylan - Bootleg series vol. 8 Tell Tale Signs.

Unfortunately, I've recently discovered that tv series exist on dvd, and am now well & truely hooked: The Wire, Battle Star Galactica, Carnivale, Dead Zone, Foyles War, The Shield, Blake's 7, Hawaii 5-O, etc.

System = Dell Vostro 420, 2.66Ghz, 4Gb, 512Mb vid (next upgrade), 24" widescreen. Upgrades = LG blue ray, Asus Xonar Essence STX audiophile sc, 600w ps. Periperhals = 19" 2nd monitor, Altec Lansing FX6021 2.1 ch speakers, Sennheiser 595 cans, 320Gb/500Gb/1Tb ext hd's, 160Gb ipod, 3rd gen Kindle.

Do you find that sometimes it is difficult to get them to mate? They just sit there, and won't have a bar of each other?

Yes, inspirational turning Starbuck to the fair side. Not so sure about the stogies but I'd still frack...

The flora behaves it's self once its tied down and medicated. The fauna (bees and earwigs) can be more of a problem.
