JaffaCakes: Welcome from another n00b. smile Whereabouts in France did you grow up? I lived there for four years - Seine-et-Marne, Aveyron and Lot-et-Garonne.

I spent most of my time on the South coast (Cannes/Grasse/Valbonne/ Sophia Antipolis) area.
My parents still live in Grasse, so it's nice to go back and enjoy the food and sun.

:)

What possessed you to move to France for half a decade?

Ooh very nice! smile

As for me, I was hired by EuroDisney (as it still was then) when I lived in England, so moved to France to work for them.

Disney! How fun! What did you do there?
Whirlpool can wait. This place looks nice :)

Very boring really. I was a food & beverage purchaser for the hotels. The social life was fantastic, though! Pretty much everyone was single, and I was almost considered old, at 24 ha ha!

I always wondered what working at Disney would be like... Any horrible/wonderful secrets you know of that happens backstage? innocent

Plenty! What's it worth? tongue-out

What d'you need? wink

OK so once, a cast member took his 5-year old son backstage to meet the characters. HUGE no-no! Imagine how deeply he crushed his son's dreams when he saw Mickey et al all with their 'heads' off, having a smoke in the allowed area hehehe ... there's lots more, but I'm off to bed now. Remind me later!

Poor kid. Way to crush a dream.
I look forward to hearing more!

OK just one more. smile

One day the actors and stuntmen from Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show were out at a local lake to swim and generally relax, and the girl they had got a ride from took the wrong turn onto the motorway to get them back to Disney in time for the first show of the evening. This meant that the show ended up starting late, and they all had to climb over the security fence to get to the dressing rooms as the bulls were already running into the arena hehehe ... (I may or may not have witnessed this)
