Welcome. From the people I know there is a ground swell of support for 2degrees. You guys have one chance (at your launch) to have a great majority switch across to you. This all dependent obviously on call and data plans.

I am wishing you all the best for your entry into the market. Good luck!

I am holding back from signing up a new contract with anyone until 2degrees and XT are fully out in the open. Same for my girlfriend's resigning.

Put me on the list for a tour in Christchurch when it happens.

Look forward to hearing more about 2degrees.

Cheers
Will

Hi there,

Is it ok to come on the tour if you are reporting for the local rag ie the Chch Press?

aimsy007: You guys have one chance (at your launch) to have a great majority switch across to you.

But so many people who might switch over the next 6 - 18 months are in contracts with penalty fees.

I would say 2D has factored this in.

Plus, not many businesses (epsecially technology based ones) want to be TOO overwhelmed in the early weeks, as staffing and systems can crumble under undue load. I'd say a mad rush by early adopters (well - people who are desperate to move to them regardless of offerings anyway) in the first 2 - 4 weeks, followed by a steady stream over the next 18 months or so.

Personally, I think they need to make their mark on the market with 6-18 months.

We are just finalising details but there is a strong possibility that due to time constraints between now and their launch the tour offer may need to be withdrawn. It was a busy busy place on Friday and we don't want to stop these people doing their good work . . .

More to come soon.

We are trying to negotiate a compromise but basically the demand both publicly (here) and privately has been overwhelming - Bryony apologises profusely and has definately learnt a lesson, the demand took her by significant surprise.

Understood. Is there any reason it has to be PRIOR to the launch?

Nah, I imagine August/September will be as manic if not more manic for them but after that aiduno, it is up to them . . .

The write-up is here.

I have started a discussion thread here so please use it rather than this thread where appropriate.

Note in the last paragraph that there won't be any further tours at this stage but maybe a different type of event closer to launch.
