Why thank you on both accounts, unfortunately my witty repartee is highly due to the fact with the written word I have time to sort out my many jumbled thoughts and form them into things that actually make sense, unlike my conversations normally.

And as to this comment:

freitasm:  Shame not geeky (in your own words)...

Hopefully with the help of geekzone I will become more geeky, as I've always been fascinated with anything to do with technology, the only problem is I've never found a way to develop this fascination, unlike guys I didn't really spend my weekends building my own computer from scratch or anything like that. I do hope to become at least slightly more knowledgeable in the ways of the "geek" though!

HAHA not too many of actually spend our weekends building computers from scratch. You will find most of us have a healthy social life :-) Some even play sports

What? now that's just low, accusing me of making up my partner! some people....

I play sports too, and I have nothing against geeks, I swear, my partner (which I did not make up) is a person who built his computer so I was just using him as an example, I do not mean to offend anyone, but you seem like a hard enough bunch so you'll survive

Hey, I have a life. I just had lunch in a café here, and walked across to the mall for a coffee. I actually have friends, and walk my baby daugther every day to the mall, and she sleeps in the pram while I have a coffee and work from my laptop or Pocket PC (like now!).

And remember, geeks are more social than nerds. It is good to be a geek.

just out of wonderment, why did you not just have the coffee while eating lunch? it seems a bit strange having lunch, then walking across the mall for coffee. I agree, geeks do have lives, well most of them at least. I do have one friend who is pretty much a recluse but he's likely the exception right?

Yes, I was tempted to mention something during Jethro's little slideshow for GZ06 where it had 'it's only for nerds' or something along those lines.  It was quite a lengthy discussion over the differences, but I'm hazarding he wasn't involved in that thread.

You should probably read the I need a nerd (Geek vs Nerd) thread. Informative reading.

Yup that was the thread I was referring to.

Also Brad's comment is quoted from time to time.
"You cannot say geeks and nerds are the same. Thats like saying my bogan neighbours VL commodore is like my Ferrari 430. Its just not allowed in any circle of society."

well aren't I glad I happened to use the term geek instead of nerd then, could have caused a big kerfuffle then couldn't I?

Hmm... for now I'll just be nice and ignore no-one, or should I just ignore the both of you? Interesting thought there...

Most of times I eat lunch as in a hot meal, not cold sandwich. And with that you can't have coffee. Wine, yes, but not coffee. Coffee is something for after meal (as in a espresso) or in between (as in a latte). Or early in the morning.
