Hey all

I'm trying to replace my power cable from my Presario v4000 laptop but no luck as of yet can anyone recommend anywhere to try looking heres the information it has on my old power pack

65W
INPUT: 100-240v 1.6A 50-60Hz
OUTPUT: 18.5v 3.5A

Well they all seem to have a higher wattage to my old one

Phone jaycar (they have a website) or dick smith.  As for wattage, you want at least 65W, higher is ok.

so If I get one thats got more watts but the same output and input its not gonna cook my laptop?

The voltage output of the new PSU must match the voltage output of the new PSU.

The current output of the new PSU must match, or be higher, that the old PSU.

As timestyles said 65w will be ok, but higher will be better, if it is not too much more expensive.
