Power bank for laptop?

With the new school term about to start we need to ensure my daughters laptop battery life is up to spec. She has an Acer Aspire S3 which performs well but the battery life is not up to snuff.
Any recommendations for a good external power bank that will charge up a laptop? Everything I find seems to be for laptops/mobiles rather than Laptops.

You need to buy a second battery.

Tip: Look at laptops such as HP Elitebooks where you can buy an extra "slice" battery that clips on the bottom. I get about 13-14 hours out of mine.

A laptop uses *much* more power than a phone so a power bank would be about the size of a car battery.

You can't guarantee that classrooms will have convenient power points or that the student will be near a wall. Most classrooms aren't set up for byod. Charging at lunch interval is also not really practical as then the student would either need to find a trach that would let them leave the laptop locked in a room or for the student to remain stuck next to the lapyop for the whole of lunch. 4 to 5 hours is really the minimum battery life needed.

Spare laptop battery does seem the most practical option in that case.

Looks like the s3 is an ultra with a built in battery.

Looking at the specs it says 4 to 5 hours. As she won't be using it every class it should be sufficient esp if used in an appropriate power saving plan. And she doesn't use it for videos at lunch.
