Will Samsung's upcoming Chromebook Pro be the breakthrough product for Samsung? It looks absolutely beautiful, like a cross between a traditional laptop and a Galaxy Note.

Out of the box, this will run both Chrome OS and Android apps, plus Samsung's own software for stylus/pen use.

I am definitley buying when it releases as it will replace both my aging Sony Xperia tablet and Sony Duo 11 laptop with a single ultraportable laptop come tablet. And it will fix what is my biggest gripe with android tablets, being the lack of a decent browser experience to match Chrome on Windows.

I use a Windows PC for work (SP4) but am now ready to ditch Windows for home use. The only programs I currently use that are windows specific are Adobe Digital Editions and Calibre for e-book management - but I can keep these on the Sony for the rare occasions I use them.

So what do others think - are you in? Is this the next BIG product for Samsung?

I picked up a 14" ex-demo HP Chromebook (4Gb RAM model) to try it out before passing it on.  It didn't get passed on.  It's now my go-to device for taking to a seminar or school board meetings, for making notes, checking email during a break, and RDPing into my office desktop.
