Hi . Random, intermittent issues with a surface pro 2

Sometimes , cant enter password if USB mouse is plugged in. Just cant enter anything in the password box
Unplug mouse & restart & the issue goes away & will then be OK with mouse plugged in. till next time

Keyboard (MS call it the cover) . Wont turn on with kb attactched
Unplug kb , it then starts up OK, if the attach kb again. it powers off
This is intermittent , its working OK with the kb today

System is fully up to date
Are these issues just something that has to be put up with ?

Are these Surface Pro 2's rather buggy & unreliable ?
