Does anyone have a good Acer repair shop in Wellington / Johnsonville?

I have an Acer Ferrari 5000 that frequently overheats - seriously when running in Full Power it gets to 100c and just shutdown - as expected.

I suspect it needs a bit of cleaning but I couldn't open it. Any pointer is welcome.

Hi Mauricio, I have used these guys before and they were good, just down the road from Jville, bottom of the gorge.

I have an Acer Laptop and used a company called The Computer Guy. They are in Wellington. He was very friendly and very fast. I was very happy with the service and would recommend The Computer Guy to anyone.

I also had Compaq that I took to The Computer Guy as well for a complete while and re-install. Again he was fast and affordable.

Call The Computer Guy. They are based in Kelburn but cover the whole Wellington Region. I have an Acer Laptop and a Dell Laptop that I took over there for a complete makeover.

The Guy was very fast and very friendly in his approach. I was very happy with the service and I would recommend The Computer Guy to anyone one.  They are on 04 499 0098.

P.S. They have parts for Acer Laptops as well

WildNewZealand you have been posting a lot in this forums today all basically saying the same thing. Very easy for moderators to think your are spamming so unles proven differently your account is locked.

To The Computer Guy (I know you are reading) you should look at making your site show up better on Google. Until now I didn't know your URL and a few Google searches returned ANOTHER Computer Guy in Wellington - not you, so I contacted The Laptop Company.

As for business - seriously folks spamming Geekzone is not the way to get more business. Community participation is key.

I found TechRoom (5 Raroa Rd, Lower Hutt) and had a good service there. They opened the laptop, cleaned up the dust, replaced the thermal paste and it is now running much cooler.

They also service other brands...
