I am looking at ordering a new Macbook Pro while in AU. The pickup date is saying 18th Nov, while the delivery date is 13-18th Nov.
Is there a chance the device lands at the apple store before the 18th, given they don't provide a range? I would have thought things would arrive at the store quicker than home delivery.

Just trying to work out if I need to extend my trip...!

Wouldn’t the cost of extending a trip add to the purchase cost for something that could be delivered normally free?

It would still work out cheaper, but would eat into the savings, hence my question.

Delivery would have to be in that country to get the savings. Which means I’d still likely have to account for being there until the 18th

Apple does free delivery to NZ, so no savings to be had there but you do get to avoid the 'must be home to sign for it' experience.

Is the AU price better than the NZ price?

most likely gst dodge, claim back gst leaving AU, not declare in NZ as it not "new"

To be fair, I've always declared coming back into NZ and the last two times (Once with an iPhone 15, once with a Macbook Air) was told by customs it was fine not paying GST on it as it was for personal use. They didn't even bother looking at the items.
