Hi guys,

Just wondering if any one able to direct me to the best source for replacing a missing key on my NX9010 laptop. I contacted HP and it seems i have to replace the whole keyboard. I expected to be able to replace just the missing key:) Any suggestion or recommentions are welcome.

Whole keyboard is the normal response.

What city are you in?

Give the local laptop repair centres a ring and ask if they have any nx9010's in their graveyard you might be able to get a replacement keycap from. Note: Even within the same model the mechanism under the key itself can vary. So even though it's another 9010 it may have a different keycap & mechanism, but worth a try.

I found single keys on eBay for $4.99 US. I was also afraid I would have to replace the whole keyboard.

Wow.. nx9010 is pretty new... would be hard to find dead nx9010 this soon... unless it is really dead... mmm good luck finding one...

or you can get a keyboard replacement, and requested that to HP that you want the replaced keyboard (the one missing a key) be returned to you. then you have more spare keys! :-D just hope next time the key is missing is not the same one! :-D
