Hey guys,

Just after some opinions (and perhaps repair estimates) on a laptop thats been lying under a pile of books and dust for a few months now due to the LCD being cracked.

The internals are great, have Gentoo & XP installed and occasionally use it via TV-Out but would anyone like to put forward cost estimates as to how much an LCD would cost to put back into one of these? Or even if its worth it??

I deleted my record of the S/N off the actual internal LCD but will dredge it up again if its needed to help fight the good fight.

The laptop itself is a famed Hyundai, but hey.. it was a parting gift from work so it would be nice to have the use of it back if its cost effective.

Any comments?

I would say no, it wouldn't be worth it. Just plug it into an external monitor
