remember the MSI is a tad heavier - not sure if comes with DVD tray for the weight

if you want to game you want a fast GPU that runs GDDR5 RAM
if gaming not your top priority then go Dell

but do you need DVD tray?

Dont need a dvd tray.

Gaming isn't my main priority I just want to be able to play Skyrim and New vegas

Any laptop even with onbored GPU will play that just depends on the graphical settings you want.
