ajobbins: Fly to the cheapest Aus city you can get a ticket to and buy one, claim the GST back through TRS as you leave the country and avoid any duty coming back in NZ. GST refund will probably pay most of the flights, and maybe you can have a holiday too


"Accompanied goods are goods (excluding your clothing and other personal effects) that are travelling with you on the same flight or ship, and that are for your own personal use.

When you travel with your goods you have a personal concession of NZ$700.

If you are over this amount then you may have some Customs charges to pay."

nathan: pay your fair share of tax, its not right to other tax payers or society as a whole trying to work around the tax system.

We all pay tax to support NZs generous welfare, education, health etc


Tell that to your employer ;)
