I have down what the OP as asking many times using Macrium going from 2Tb WD Black drives to a 240GB Kingston SSD without any problems. Organising the partitions in the software can be tricky sometimes but I've never had a problem.

 

 

 

Just make sure you update ur startup disk in the BIOS if you are leaving your old drive connected.

Thanks for the reassurance. This was just a straight disk swap. The SSD seems to be working fine.
