They do have an iPad but also want a Laptop for '"other" reasons also. I think an iPad is sufficient. But I do as I'm asked.

It's taken many years but I now steer as far clear of family tech stuff as possible.  Makes for a far less stressful relationship.  I wish you luck on your journey to family tech support independence :)

Have a look at this FS thread: https://www.geekzone.co.nz/forums.asp?forumid=77&topicid=239658

Not sure if @Shapenz has any more but could be worth asking. I just bought one for my parents and to be honest it exceeded my expectations - will be perfect for them.

What about something like this

https://www.pbtech.co.nz/product/NBKFUJ5473A/Fujitsu-Lifebook-E547-All-Day-Business-Laptop-14-1

Thanks for the link. It looks like what they need. I will take a trip tomorrow and check it out.

Spec looks excellent for the price bracket. Dock for $50 is a great deal if you get the laptop get it.

But.. 14" at 1080 might be a struggle for some people. Can enlarge text only but seems there's always software that is not great with that approach.

Fujitusu laptop is a new thing to me. Probably not an issue I'd guess pb will do the local service for it. Could be wrong it might be Fujitsu local they have been here a long time.
