The macs are just such great value at the moment.. Student price for the 13.3" Aluminium Macbook Pro is only $1800. The prices were revised a few weeks ago to adjust for the strong NZD, and slashed about $4-500 off the price of them in NZ
Noel Leeming/Bond+Bond were doing an offer with my workplace (Auckland Health Board) for cost + 10% + GST.
We put a bundle together of the PC, 3yr warranty and a case and we fiddled around a little bit more on the price until I was happy.
I wasn't ready to fully go ahead on Saturday so took the lady's card with the details jotted down, to come back the next day.
You never really know with these deals how good they really are. Are you just getting what they give everyone?
So I was greatly cheered when I went back the next day to do the deal. My original lady wasn't there but I handed over her card and said I was ready to go ahead.
Much scratching of heads, muttering, adding things up, going to get bosses, looking uncomforable, murmuring "I don't think we can make this work".
It was only when I mentioned that it was part of the ADHB promotion that they all started to smile and ask for EFTPOS cards etc.
